Poland full of tulips
In the 81st minute Mister Koeman brought on striker Weghorst and two minutes later he scored the winning goal! The match between Holland and Poland in group D ends 2-1 in Hamburg with the Dutch who waste a lot, suffer the disadvantage and then with some difficulty win in the final. Curious is the fact that no Ajax player was present in the Dutch ranks and instead as many as seven of the twenty-two lined up on the field at the start were playing in Italy. At the beginning it was Reijnders who wasted the tulips’ best moment. In the 16th minute, Adam Buksa headed the ball to give the Poles the lead. In the 29th minute Cody Gakpo, after failing to score an equalizing goal thanks to a deflection from Salamon, goalkeeper Szczesny could do nothing. In the second half the Dutch especially looked for the advantage. The Orange insert Moder, the Poles try to cover with Slisz and Swiderski. On the pitch the Netherlands dominates but Poland stings and scares their opponents with sudden outbursts.
The Dutchman De Vrij comes close to scoring following a corner. Koeman brings in Frimpong and Weghorts and the latter touches his first ball, depositing it behind Szczesny. In the final minutes, Poland reacts, increases the pace and puts pressure on the Dutch rearguard who, however, manages to thwart their opponents’ threats. Poland-Holland 1-2

Draw between Danes and Slovenia
Denmark and Slovenia drew 1-1 in a match that the Danes broke the deadlock in the 17th minute with a goal from Eriksen who took advantage of a cross from Jonas Wind. Denmark had the disadvantage of not being able to close out the match, controlling the game but allowing room for maneuver by the Slovenians. Sesko and his teammates made up for the technical difference with competitive spirit, speed and restarts. Slovenia almost conceded 2-0 but Jan Oblak saved from Rasmus Hojlund. The alarm bell came in the 76th minute with Sesko hitting the post with a shot from the edge of the area. A minute later Janza equalized with a shot deflected by Hjulmand for the final 1-1.
