The first free practice session of the Dutch Grand Prix at Assen. Initially, a great Fabio Di Giannantonio seemed to have closed the lead with a time of 1:32.314, but the time of the Roman driver of Pertamina VR46 was canceled just after the end of the session and consequently he Francesco Bagnaia jumped to the lead.
Bagnaia who recorded a time of 1:32.401 and ran a decidedly consistent and solid session, thinking above all about race pace and tyre management, but also proving to be competitive on the flying lap. There were many laps close to the best time by Pecco, demonstrating the performance of the two-time world champion on this track.
Second position for Marc Marquez who finished 65 thousandths behind in Bagnaia: the Spaniard from Team Gresini also showed great potential. Just think that at the last attempt he had excellent times in the first sectors and then he raised the gas, giving up at the end of the track. He can still be among the protagonists.
Raul Fernandez finishes one tenth behind Bagnaia, while Fabio Quartararo is fourth at 193 thousandths, ahead of the two Aprilias of Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargarò. Jorge Martin, on the other hand, was quiet and finished in tenth position.preceding Marco Bezzecchi.
