Under-20 World Cup: Ireland-Italy and Australia-Georgia results and scorers

The two matches in Pool B of the U20 World Cup were played at 4.30pm. The results of Ireland-Italy and Australia-Georgia respected the predictions made the day before.

The Irish They overwhelmed the Azzurrini 55-15 at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town, the Junior Wallabies overcame Georgia 30-15 at the Athlone Sports Stadium, overturning the result in the second half.

U20 World Cup: Ireland-Italy

Ireland scores eight tries, takes the win and the bonus point with a dominant performance. The boys in green start strong with Danny Sheahan, who responds with a try by Lorenzo Elettri.

The Azzurrini played well for 10 minutes then Ireland took control of the ball and the game. Luke Murphy, Evan O’Connell and Sam Berman, one of the best on the pitch, closed the first half at 31-10.

U20 World Cup: Australia-Georgia

Australia suffers in the first half with Georgia scoring a try in the 15th minute, taking the lead with Luka Suluashvili. Harry McLaughlin-Phillips closes the gap with a free kick, but the Junior Wallabies are shown a red card with Harvey Cordukes.

The first ended 6-8 with free kicks first from Luka Tsirekidze and then from Reds fly-half Harry McLaughlin-Phillips.

The second half opens again with a placed Luka Tsirekidze, then Asutralia comes out scoring four tries: Ronan Leahy, Lington Ieli, Angus Staniforth (double) and Jarrah McLeod are the scorers.
