The program of the second week of Metamorphosis, the multidisciplinary festival organized by SiMuA (University Museum System) and CoopCulture, with the Genìa collective and the artistic direction of Sabino Civilleri, continues with sounds far from Estonia.
The show schedule resumes Wednesday, July 3rdat 9.30pm, with the Duo Ruutzither and voices, formed by the young Estonian musicians and singer-songwriters, Ann-Lisett Rebane and Katariina Kivi.
The concert “Golden Light” brings together a single Estonian zither and two distinct voices.
Inspired by the traditions of their country, the two musicians draw influences from both the beliefs of different cultures and their contemporary and emotional way of writing songs.
Their sound is based on the common ground that the two young Estonian musicians and songwriters have been exploring since they met in 2017.
While composing on one instrument, Duo Ruut’s music is minimalist in its essence but rich in new and imaginative ideas.
