who stops, the list of guaranteed trips in Abruzzo

Today, Sunday 16 June, is a complicated day for those who have to travel by train. In fact, a national strike of the mobile staff of Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper and Trenord is underway.

Proclaimed by the trade unions, the strike is scheduled from 3am on Sunday to 2am on Monday 17 June, without guarantee periods.

Frecce, Intercity and regional trains will stop. Before travelling, it is advisable to check whether your train will be canceled or delayed. At this link you can find the list of guaranteed trains in Abruzzo.

Trenitalia warns that trains could be canceled or changed and that the service could be modified even before or after the strike. For information and support, travelers can contact the call center on 800 89 20 21.

The company communicates that “the trains that are traveling at the start of the strike will still arrive at their final destination, if reachable within an hour of the start of the trade union agitation”; after an hour, trains may stop even before reaching their final destination. Furthermore, Trenitalia specifies that those who intend to cancel the trip can request a refund up to the departure time of the booked train, for Intercity and Frecce trains; until midnight the day before the strike, for regional trains. “Alternatively,” Trenitalia communicates, “passengers can reschedule the journey, under similar transport conditions, as soon as possible, based on seat availability”.

Trenitalia also reminds us that “union unrest may lead to changes to the service even before the start and after the conclusion of the strike. Travelers who intend to cancel the trip can request a refund starting from the declaration of strike: until the departure time of the booked train, for Intercity and Frecce trains; until midnight of the day before the strike, for regional trains. Alternatively, they can reschedule their trip, under similar transport conditions, as soon as possible, subject to seat availability. Further information is available on the other web channels of the FS Italiane group, from Trenitalia customer assistance and ticket offices”.
