On Italy the pressure is clearly increasing thanks to an anticyclonic promontory of African origin, which, however, will not yet be able to completely avoid the risk of some showers of rain. Let’s go into more predictive detail, trying to understand above all in which regions it will be necessary to keep an umbrella handy on the holiday.
To the North the sky will be mostly clear of clouds, except for some harmless veiling or passing stratification. Only on the Alpine reliefs will some more compact concentrations develop, associated with the risk of brief or isolated showers temporal in the afternoon, but of modest magnitude. Good news on the temperatures front which, despite a progressive rise, will still be pleasant, with highs up to 29/30°C.
The high pressure field will also guarantee fair weather in the Center and in Sardinia. However, on the island we expect greater cloud cover, with some showers of rain and local short thunderstorms especially in the eastern sectors. Over the rest of the central regions the sky will be partially cloudy at times but with less compact clouds. It will also be hot in the Center, but without excesses, with highs around 28-29°C.
Finally, the South and Sicily will be firmly protected from the African anticyclone, with lots of sunshine and atmospheric stability. Harmless clouds will only be passing through, being more compact over Campania and Basilicata. Even in the South, temperatures will be rising, typically summer, with peaks of 34°C in Bari and values between 28-30°C somewhere else.
In short, a pleasant day of celebration awaits us almost everywhere on the meteorological front, ideal for spending some time outdoors!
