After days of uncertainty and misdirections, the rossoblù threw the ace on the table, immediately arousing the euphoria of the fans, who on social media welcomed the announcement of the redemption of the Neapolitan striker – the man with 20 goals in Serie B with Sila jersey, no one like him ever in the history of the Bruzio club – as if it were a sensational achievement (it is, in any case, the most expensive operation of the Guarascio era). The top executive, meanwhile, already wants to present the new season ticket campaign on Tuesday, confident in rising numbers compared to previous years, driven by the Tutino effect. Prices are expected to be slightly higher than in the past.
Serie A: Ursino’s dream. In reality, general director Beppe Ursino referred to this. It would perhaps be excessive to speak of a one man show but, certainly, the CEO was the great protagonist of yesterday’s conference at midday in the “Bergamini” press room. I was lucky enough to make them both come true. Guarascio came to my house to convince me. After this long courtship, which previously went badly because I was tired and wanted to rest, I now gave in to the pressure. I did it for one reason only, I have a dream in my heart but I will never reveal it.” Shortly after, however, he opened up a little more: «I believe that this is a place prepared for Serie A but we have to think about it one step at a time. The first is salvation, after which there are the playoffs and then, who knows… To achieve the goal it is essential to work in a calm, balanced and trusting atmosphere. We will judge what we have done at the end of the championship but, a priori, we need to receive credit from the fans and the press. Serie B has welcomed some great properties, the next one will be very balanced. I promise that we will do everything to achieve important results. Tutino’s redemption is a signal from this perspective.” Will the attacker stay in Cosenza or will he be sold? Gennaro Delvecchio tried to extricate himself on the topic: «It was a great sacrifice, we know the figures of this operation well. We are a small company in a world in which sharks move with us, like these Asian funds that we talk about so much. We must be happy to have a president who acts with coherence, passion and conscience. Tutino’s redemption is an operation out of the ordinary, endorsed by Guarascio personally. However, we will move in line with a predefined budget. What will happen next is too early to say and it would be reductive and counterproductive to reduce the technical aspect to just one player. Every situation will be analyzed with the coach.”
