Around 120 Sicilian teenagers will study abroad in various destinations around the world, starting this summer.

Over the summer, around 120 students will leave Sicily who have just completed the training course led by local volunteers to better face the educational and training challenges abroad.



A great desire for internationalization therefore, but also the concrete economic possibility to do so: the over 1100 scholarships covering total or partial coverage of the participation fee are the driving force behind Intercultura.



In Sicily, more than 75% of the winners of the competition will be able to spend a school period abroad thanks to a financial contribution (partial or total coverage of the entire participation fee) from Intercultura and companies, organizations and foundations, which, through The fundraising activities of the Intercultura Foundation support this important educational project; among these: A2A Intesa Sanpaolo Group, U. Bonino Foundation and MS Pulejo, ILSO



The destination is the world, where the voluntary association has been developing its programs for almost 70 years: 48% will fly in Europe, 20% in Latin America, 20% in Canada and the United States; 11% in Asia, 1% in Africa. United States, Canada, France, Ireland, Argentina, United Kingdom, Thailand, Hungary, Turkey and Dominican Republic are the top ten countries that will welcome the greatest number of Sicilian students.

The classic school year abroad remains the duration par excellence, chosen by almost 60% of students, while 18% will remain abroad for a semester and 9% for a quarter. The remaining 13% will be abroad this summer for between four weeks and two months.
