Lecce, Poli Bortone-Salvemini: there is a run-off

TO Lecce the verification procedures of the Electoral Commission, called into question to investigate some inconsistencies between the minutes filed in four sections and the number of preferences expressed, ended in the afternoon.

Adriana Poli Bortone, with 26,044 votes she did not reach the 50%+1 which would have allowed her to win in the first round. For Salveminiinstead, 24,374 preferences. There will be a run-off between the two, while Ciucci and Siculella obtained 840 and 894 votes respectively.

The people of Lecce will return to the polls on Sunday 23rd and on the morning of Monday 24th June.

Poli Bortone: “Ready for the ballot, Salvemini rejected”

Adriana Poli Bortone spoke this evening at the headquarters of the electoral committee in via Braccio Martello. Her statements were collected by Leccesette:

I highlight the oddities recorded in these elections. In some sections, such as 54, they are close to 10%. The control of the ballots served to close several sections left open, without minutes, in which anomalies were recorded, such as the number of voters different from the number of ballots. A check, absolutely necessary, which in any case we did not ask for.

Salvemini: “0-0, ball in the centre”

Carlo Salvemini has released some statements which can be found on his page Facebook:

0-0, ball in the centre. A new electoral campaign begins. We are ready to experience this transition with passion, enthusiasm, trust, serenity and determination. Congratulations to my opponent for the result obtained. I don’t experience the result as a de profundis.
