TRANI – L’Ora returns to Puglia after the 2023 edition in Monopoli! Fest, the international festival dedicated to the environment, sustainability, youth and social justice, scheduled this year in Trani from 25 to 29 September. The 2024 edition will open with the European premiere of the film about Oscar winner Philippe Rousselot ‘A look through his lens’, directed by Matthew Berkowitz and Gregory Hobbit. The first international guest will be James Marsden (Jury Duty, Westworld, X-men) accompanied by Oscar winner Marisa Tomei, member of the honorary committee. Matt Dillon and Raoul Bova are also expected.

To enliven the days of the festival, there will also be space for talks and masterclasses with great interpreters of international cinema. Desirée Popper (The Cage, Falla Girare 2 and among the protagonists of the international Netflix series The Dadchelor, Mare Fuori), an actress of Brazilian origin, will also participate. Also this year Now! Fest confirms its commitment to issues related to the environment and together with ScartOff Aps, winner of the Puglia Region Principi Attivi 2012 tender, information and training opportunities will be created on issues related to climate change, recycling and reuse. The festival will feature a selection of Italian and international films in competition and out of competition, with free screenings in the Santa Maria di Colonna Monastery. The competition includes first and second works with 10 Italian and international shorts, and 8 feature films (4 in Italian and 4 in the original language).

The event, chaired by the co-founder of the cultural association Anche Fest (producer of the Festival) Giovanni De Blasio with the artistic direction of Eva Basteiro-Bertolì, multifaceted artist and director of ‘The 48 Hour Film Project’, and the international curator Silvia Bizio, is promoted with the financial support of the city of Trani.
