The Cav. Leonardo Leonetti, president of the ANGET section of Trani, at the end of the traditional rite, retraced the history and events of the Weapons of Engineers and Transmissions, recalling that the Weapon of Engineers is a fundamental, versatile and always decisive piece capable of intervene in any emergency in Italy and abroad, with great skill and altruism. Furthermore, he thanked the parish priest Father Sabino Diaferia for having allowed the anniversary to be celebrated, Don Peppino Lapenna for his continuous availability towards the association, Dr. Irene Cornacchia representing the Mayor of Trani, the civil and military authorities and the associations attended, at the end a member of ANGET recited the Engineer’s prayer.
Don Sabino thanked and greeted all those present and made a reflection on the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima which was the first Sanctuary built and dedicated to the “Madonna of Fatima” to spread her cult, located near the barracks and a place where the soldiers stop to thank the Lord.
At the end of the Holy Mass, the knight. Leonetti gave Dr. Cornacchia the sympathizing member card.
It was a short but intense ceremony which bears witness today to yesterday’s history and which is always a great emotion to witness
