The third edition of the Rotary scholarship took place last Tuesday, an event which saw the participation of graduate medical students from the University of Foggia, residents of the BAT. The evening, organized by the Interclub of Andria, Barletta, Trani and Bisceglie, was a moment of great emotion and pride for the community.

The highlight of the evening was the award to Dr. Maura Galentino for her thesis “Comparison between Buprenorphine and Diclofenac in the pain therapy of patients suffering from Acute Pancreatitis”. Dr. Galentino has been recognized for her significant contributions to the field of medicine.

During the event, the Presidents of the Rotary Clubs of Andria Castelli Svevi, Barletta, Bisceglie and Trani took part in the speakers’ table. Furthermore, Vincenzo Sassanelli, District Governor 2120, Giuseppe Guglielmi President of the “3rd Edition Graduation Prize” Judging Committee and Mario Fucci, Graduation Prize Delegate, spoke during the evening.

District Governor Vincenzo Sassanelli expressed his pride in being the governor of the Rotary Clubs present. The closing speech was followed by a convivial dinner which further strengthened the bonds between community members.

President Lilla Bruno described the event as “a great celebration for Rotary”, underlining how the organization represents the spirit of the community. Helping young people realize their dreams is one of Rotary’s core missions, and this evening demonstrated the commitment and positive impact the organization has on society.

The event concluded with a sense of satisfaction and hope for the future of the young graduates. The infamous “future”, perhaps, is not as dark as it is often portrayed. Also thanks to Rotary, which continues to be a pillar for the community, promoting education and student success.
