THE SECOND EDITION OF THE “A LOVE SUPREME – CAPESTRANO INCONTRI JAZZ” JAZZ FESTIVAL PRESENTED IN L’AQUILA BY THE MUSICARTI ASSOCIATION – Virtù Quotidiane

L’AQUILA – The second edition of the “A love supreme – Capestrano Incontri Jazz” festival, conceived and produced by Nicola Capriati with the support of the MusicArti association chaired by Maria Letizia Perticarini and with the artistic direction of the saxophonist Dimitri Grechi Espinoza.

The wooden hall of the Palazzetto dei Nobili in Piazza Santa Margherita all’Aquila today hosted the press conference of the “A love supreme – Capestrano jazz encounters” festival, now in its second edition.

Present at the press conference were the creator of the project Nicola Capriati, the president of the MusicArti association Maria Letizia Perticarini, the artistic director and saxophonist Dimitri Grechi Espinoza, prof. Daniel Tummolillo of the Academy of Fine Arts of L’Aquila, whose students took care of the graphics of the posters.

This year the event, which takes place over four days, is enriched with musicians and performances, remaining faithful to the stupendous original location, the Abbey of San Pietro ad Oratorium in Capestrano (L’Aquila).

In fact, the program will open on Thursday 27 June at 9.00 pm with the concert “Jazz meets the Baroque Choir”, a combination of sax and baroque choir on compositions by Hildegard von Bingen with Dimitri Grechi Espinoza on sax, sopranos Anna Simboli and Elena Bertuzziand the Baroque singing students of the Evaristo Felice Dall’Abaco Conservatory in Verona.

We will continue on Friday 28 June at 9.00 pm with the concert for viola da gamba solo with improvisations and voice of Chris Dahlgren “Viola da gamba and Jazz improvisations”.

Saturday 29 June at 6.30 pm will be the turn of “Bandoneon soli”, concert by Bandoneon soli with final duo with Daniele Di Bonaventura to the bandoneon and Carlo Maver to the bandoneon.

To conclude on Sunday 30 June at 6.30 pm with the concert by the pianist from L’Aquila Jacopo Petrucci “Bach, Debussy, Ravel, Ligeti and Jazz improvisations”.
