The ASP of Ragusa recently received a significant donation from a private company, which wanted to contribute to the well-being of mothers who care for children hospitalized in the pediatric department of the “Guzzardi” hospital in Vittoria. This gesture of generosity, which took place on Saturday morning, consists of the donation of ten relaxation armchairs, designed to offer greater comfort to parents who spend long hours next to their little ones.
The initiative was born from the personal experience of one of the owners of the donor company, who wanted to express gratitude for the welcome and professionalism received during his son’s hospitalization: “During my son’s hospitalization, I found an environment welcoming and very professional from all the operators. This is why I wanted to donate deckchairs to this wonderful department that will comfort parents who care for sick children.”
The donation
The donation was gratefully received by the director of the Pediatrics Operating Unit of the “Guzzardi” PO, Dr. Fabrizio Comisi, and by the Extraordinary Commissioner of the ASP of Ragusa, Dr. Giuseppe Drago. The new relaxation armchairs do more than that they will improve the comfort of parents during their children’s periods of hospitalization, but they also represent a symbol of solidarity and mutual support within the Ragusa community.
