The words about Schumacher that come from the world of Formula 1 will certainly cause discussion, given the importance of whoever said them.
Schumacher’s name within the world of Formula 1 carries enormous respect behind it. In fact, one immediately thinks of the great German champion who won 7 world titles in his career, but who today is forced to live in total privacy due to the consequences of the terrible skiing accident in 2013.
But in motor racing Schumacher is a surname that also brings Ralf to the minds of enthusiasts, the brother of the great Michael, also an excellent driver until a few years ago. Today, however, the young Mick Schumacher, second son of the ‘Kaiser’, a talented driver born in 1999 who is following his path, is trying to carry on the family tradition.
Obviously Mick has to overcome the difficulties of carrying such an unwieldy surname, but he is trying to cut his teeth professionally. His debut in Formula 1 with Haas was not unforgettable, so much so that today he had to take a step back, leaving the Circus and settling for the role of test driver at Mercedes.

Schumacher junior’s hope is precisely that of return to competing as a protagonist in Formula 1, after two seasons spent in the pits and competing only in the WEC championship, in the Hypercar category with Alpine. However, the ambitions of the son of the artist are much higher, given that his talent is crystal clear and the desire to return is great.
An old family friend, a very important figure in the world of F1, spoke positive words of praise towards Schumacher. Jean Todt, former historic Ferrari team principal, spoke to Sports Bild of Mick’s real qualities: “I don’t know if Mick is one of the best drivers around, but he’s better than half the Formula 1 drivers. Maybe Mick is too kind, in F1 you have to stick your elbows out.”
The French manager therefore exalted Mick Schumacher’s qualities as a driver, implying that he is among the best around in the racing world, but at the same time advised the young man to stick out his claws and question himself, thus convincing the official teams to focus on him. A hint of affection in Todt’s words is obvious: in fact the former team principal is one of the few close friends of Michael Schumacher who are allowed to visit him at his residence in the Balearics, given the significant bond between the two.
