Milan Under 23 will play in Serie C in Solbiate Arno

The FIGC Federal Council has made Ancona’s failure to register official, allowing the second Rossoneri team to take its place in the 2024-2025 championship.

There will be another professional football team that will play in the province of Varese. The news is not new: for weeks, in fact, the “Chinetti” sports center in Solbiate Arno has been undergoing a renovation to be able to host the home matches of the Milan Under 23 team.

Today, Thursday 27 June, the FIGC Federal Council ratified Ancona’s failure to register among the Lega Pro teams, thus leaving room for the second Rossoneri team. This team will play its home matches in Solbiate Arno, a strategic point for the club, given its proximity to Carnago and Milan.

The Milanese club welcomed the news from the FIGC with a post in which it revealed the name of the team: MilanFuturo.

Daniele Bonera will be the team’s coach, while there is curiosity to understand how the team will be composed. It is possible that there will be several talents from the Rossoneri youth system, such as Kevin Zeroli from Busto, captain of the Primavera last year, Lorenzo Ossola from Varese, born in 2007, and the striker Francesco Camarda, who made his debut in Serie A last season at 16 and who scored many goals in the Milan youth teams.
