For mayor of Perugia, 598 votes divide Ferdinandi and Scoccia

PERUGIA, JUNE 11 – The results of the municipal elections in Perugia were made official overnight on the portal of the Ministry of the Interior. Which will see a run-off between Vittoria Ferdinandi, centre-left, who obtained 49.01 percent of the vote, and Margherita Scoccia, centre-right, 48.29. In the end there were 598 votes that divided them. Among the parties, the Democratic Party is the one that obtained the most support, 19.19 percent. In the coalition, Anima Perugia Vittoria Ferdinandi mayor obtained 8.48, Pensa Perugia-Action-We are European-civics 5.86 and the 5 Star Movement 4.13. Fratelli d’Italia is the second party in the municipality with 18.86 percent. In the group that supported Scoccia, Fare Perugia-Forza Italia-EPP had 11.59 percent of the votes, Progetto Perugia 4.1 percent and the League 3.72 percent. The vote was polarized on the two mayoral candidates. In fact, the other three in the running ended up clearly behind: Massimo Monni, Perugia deserves, had 1.40 percent of the votes, Davide Baiocco, Forza Perugia – Reformist Alternative-Iitalexit, 0.76, and Leonardo Caponi, Perugia against war and neoliberalism-PCI, 0.54. Overall they obtained 2,254 votes, much more than those separating Ferdinandi and Scoccia and could prove decisive for the election of the mayor.
