LUCCA. A month of time – from 11 June to 15 July – to define strategies and clarify what Lucchese’s role will be in the 2024-25 season. To date, there are many question marks on the table: from staffing to the youth sector, bearing in mind that the Bulgarella Group has taken over an indebted company and that, without its intervention, it would not have been registered in C in June 2023. Debts which, despite the efforts of the owners, have not yet been cleared (in the meantime others have been made with the issuance of injunctions all for amounts decidedly lower than 30 thousand euros) and the new payments expected in July must also be taken into account and August (around 300 thousand euros) when the squad for the 2024-25 season will be set up. According to the president, it will be a staff made up of a maximum of 20-22 members and integrated by boys from Primavera 3 (Leone and Babacar to give two examples). Giorgio Gorgone who, despite certain criticisms that were decidedly out of place given the staff available, managed to bring the Rossoneri ship to port, as well as being a serious professional, he is a technician who loves challenges. He is available to stay and has rejected a couple of concrete possibilities (an advance with Rimini who, given the coach’s hesitation, chose Buscé) because he wants to try to improve himself and improve the team. However, he asks for guarantees on at least five-six elements capable of raising the technical level and for the president – of whom he is very fond – not to create too high expectations which then, inevitably, cannot be maintained. From next week with the owner and probably the technician in place the new Lucchese will begin to take shape.
