Itis responded to the initiative promoted by the humanitarian association Seeds of Peace
As part of the project “Paths of Peace and Solidarity. Memory is us”, the IIS Marconi responded to the “Solidarity Emporium” initiative promoted by the humanitarian association Seeds of Peace.
Through the collection of pasta and milk, the entire school community supported some needy families in the area with a concrete gesture.
The products collected at the entrance to the school were collected directly by the President of the association Luca Bondi on Saturday 8 June, welcomed by the Director Nicola Guzzone, by Prof. Monia Poleggi, who was responsible for coordinating all the activities, by the student representatives of ‘Institute, Kozak Mateusz 4A inf, Granata Mattia 4A mecc, De Amicis Alice 2A sp and Meli Federica 5Asp who disseminated the initiative and the Campitelli students Francesco and Di Pietro Mattia of the 4th mechanics who took care of the Solidarity in school. We also thank the student Fanelli Chiara 1C inf for creating the initiative flyer.
These activities were highly educational for our students, as they allowed them to gain experience in the School not only of theories, but of concrete actions, examples of active citizenship and solidarity, so that one day they can be active promoters of the Rule of ‘Gold of Humanity: “Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself”. The students mobilized their personal resources, worked in synergy and subsequently reworked in wisdom terms what they gained on an educational level from the path taken.
At school you are a citizen within a specific environment that is never disconnected from the external one… our city, our Region… our Planet Earth! This solidarity space was also one of the activities of the 3rd edition of the white night “Liucos 2024 – A wave among the waves”, an event that our school organizes as a moment of sharing and growth for all the actors of the school community and which this year he wanted to dedicate to the memory of the much loved Prof. Marco Corti.
