Reggio Emilia, 26 June 2024 – The Prosecutor’s Office has ordered an autopsy on Stefano Davetithe 63-year-old originally from Spiceresident for about ten years in our Apennines, died on Monday evening atMaggiore hospital Of Parmaafter three days of agony following an attack that took place in his home, Morsiano of Villa Minozzo.
As it turns out, the man was hit with bars: initially the crime of very serious injuries was hypothesized, but the tragic evolution of the situation leans towards the hypothesis of homicide. Yesterday the investigators carried out further investigations to clarify the dynamics of the facts and then evaluate how to frame everything.
The man appears to have had several arguments with neighbors. Daveti, who had suffered from mental problems for some time, was followed by social services. Under investigation by the public prosecutor Maria Rita Pantaniwhich coordinates the investigations by the Carabinieri, there is the position of two people, father and son, neighbors, who had argued with the victim on Friday evening.
From a first reconstruction of the facts, Daveti would have argued with the 70-year-old neighbor who was cutting the grass. The elderly man would have clung to the railing of Daveti’s gate, then the grate gave way and fell on the 70-year-old. At that point Daveti would have climbed onto the gate: after seeing the scene, the neighbor’s 40-year-old son would have taken a metal bar and entered Daveti’s house, hitting him several times while he was in the bedroom. Father and son would have moved away and then raised the alarm, calling for public assistance. The two neighbors are protected by the lawyer Domenico Noris Bucchi: “At this stage – the lawyer states – I do not intend to make any statements regarding the criminal proceedings. I met my clients a couple of times”, that is on Monday and also yesterday. “I can only say that I found two people in shock and destroyed by pain.”
