After Nuoro, Verona and Salerno, the Minister Andrea Abodi inaugurated, in collaboration with Invitalia and the Municipality of Novara as lead body, the hub at the Casa della Porta in Novara, the fourth of the 12 spaces planned throughout the national territory for orientation and training, which constitute the heart of the RETE project.

With the inauguration of the Novara hub, the “Rete” project also arrives in Piedmont, dedicated to young people between 16 and 35 who want to improve their skills to enter the world of work.

Promoted by the Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodithrough the Department for Youth Policies and the Universal Civil Service of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Network project aims to build a bridge between young people and the business world, to accompany and guide young people towards job opportunities, including self-employment, reducing the mismatch between school, university and the production system.

Invitalia, the Development Agency, is the implementing body of the project.

The following spoke at the presentation of the project: Andrea Abodi, Minister for Sport and Youth, Teresa ArmentiCouncillor for Youth Policies of the Municipality of Novara and Luigi GalloHead of Incentives and Innovation at Invitalia.

He also participated Chiara Gambarosole director of the company Bios Laboratori Srl of Novara, testimonial and entrepreneur who, thanks to the incentives for female entrepreneurship managed by Invitalia, was able to purchase new machinery and hire 2 young people in her microbiological and chemical analysis laboratory.

Who is the project aimed at?

Rete is aimed at young people who:

attend secondary school or have a high school diploma
attend or have obtained an ITS qualification
they attend university or have a degree
they are unemployed or looking for work
they are aspiring entrepreneurs

The purposes

The Novara hub has as its territorial vocation Fashion, Green Chemistry and Mechatronics. It is a place designed to welcome young people from all over the region, where it is possible to take stock of skills and define one’s own professional development path, but also acquire or improve occupational skills, follow training and specific paths to become an entrepreneur, develop a business idea and deepen knowledge of incentives for the creation and development of productive activities. The proposed activities involve the use of innovative and highly experiential methodologies in order to actively involve young people. The activities are conducted in collaboration with other local bodies, such as schools, training institutes, the University, the Chamber of Commerce, trade associations, innovative companies in the Piedmont area and university incubators.

In one year of activity, the first 4 hubs of the Network Project (Nuoro, Verona, Salerno and Novara) have implemented 1,357 initiatives (721 for entrepreneurship and work orientation, 520 for training and 116 animation initiatives) which have involved a total of 20,740 young people.
