Through a press release, the Calcio Foggia club announced the official arrival of Massimo Brambilla as new coach
We told you about it in the last few days and now it’s official. Massimo Brambilla is the new coach of Foggia. The club made it known in an official statement. New experience, therefore, for the former Juventus Next Gen.
This is the text of the press release: “Football Foggia 1920 is pleased to announce the appointment of Massimo Brambilla as the new coach of the first team. The coach will join the Rossoneri club starting from 1 July 2024 and until 30 June 2025.”
Continues: “Massimo Brambilla, born on 4 March 1973 in Vimercate, was a professional footballer and had a brilliant career on the Serie A and Serie B pitches, wearing the shirts of prestigious clubs such as Monza, Turin, Cagliari, Bologna and Parma. With over 400 professional appearances, Brambilla has brought his determination and expertise to the world of coaches too.”
So here is the official announcement. After excellent years at the helm of Juventus Next gen, Foggia has chosen to focus on Brambilla. With the aim that he can bring the winning mentality that distinguishes the Juventus club.
Massimo Brambilla, a new beginning
When you move from Juventus, you have to achieve results. And, Massimo, achieved them by winning the Serie C Italian Cup with the Juventus club, and reaching the playoffs, then losing to the winning Carrarese.
Now to Foggia to move on. We need to reverse course by trying to bring joy to a historic club and an important place. Brambilla has the potential to do so, and we’ll find out next season.
Foggia, the numbers of the season
Foggia ended its season in eleventh place in the standings. The objective of the playoffs is therefore lost. A result below the club’s expectations, which will try to make a change with the new coach.
There were 13 victories out of 38 games played. Too little for an ambitious team like the Apulian one. Brambilla will have to immediately convey the desire to win. Foggia, the time is now.
