A1 F – Virtus Bologna, a team tries to save the women’s race?

According to what was reported by Il Resto del Carlino, a group of entrepreneurs is trying to save the Virtus Bologna women. CEO Luca Baraldi announced the team’s withdrawal, news that came after Ragusa’s withdrawal and a few days after that of Oxygen Roma, anticipated by PB. The LegaBasket Femminile is now open to projects to allow the participation of 12 teams, which has pushed “a group of entrepreneurs and enthusiasts from Bologna to move to try to save the A1 series”. A race against time “to try to square the circle and be ready for July 5, the date of the next meeting of the Lega Basket Femminile, with a project that can convince the board first and then the Fip on July 12 to ratify the registration”.

Budget already defined – There would already be a draft of the logo, the red and blue club colors – therefore without links to Virtus or Fortitudo – but also the budget: we are talking about 600 thousand euros“to be covered to arrive ready in the League with the papers in order for registration”. In short, they are trying to put together the necessary budget to not make Bologna lose its place in the Serie A1 F of LegaBasket Femminile.
