MOLFETTA – The Eremo Club of Molfetta is preparing to host a one-of-a-kind show, where music and visual art merge into an unrepeatable experience. On Friday 5 July 2024, Giancane and Zerocalcare will take the stage together for the first and only date in Puglia of this special project that combines music and live drawing.

The show

During the live, Giancane will play his songs while Zerocalcare will draw in real time, projecting his works on a large screen. This combination of music and drawing visually tells the stories and emotions transmitted by Giancane’s songs, creating a perfect synergy between the two artists, the result of a shared vision of life and things. It was Giancane, in fact, who introduced Zerocalcare to the world of cartoons years ago, asking him to create the drawn video for one of his songs.

Giancane

Giancarlo Barbati, known as Giancane, is a former member of the famous Roman group Il Muro del Canto. With two albums under his belt, “Una vita al top” (2016) and “Ansia e Disagio” (2017), Giancane has created a recognizable musical language, characterized by a raw expressiveness, a nihilistic irony and a grotesque touch. His music has also served as the soundtrack to the animated series “Strappare lungo i bordi”, written and directed by Zerocalcare, consolidating a partnership that began in 2018 with the video for the song “Ipocondria” (feat. Rancore).

Zero limestone

Zerocalcare, pseudonym of Michele Rech, is one of the most acclaimed authors in the Italian and international comics scene. With numerous books to his credit, including “La profezia dell’armadillo”, “Kobane Calling”, and “Scheletri”, he has been able to tell the fears and hopes of an entire generation. In recent years, Zerocalcare has also written, directed and dubbed two animated series for Netflix, “Strappare lungo i bordi” (2021) and “Questo mondo non mi rendere cattivo” (2023), achieving great success with audiences and critics.

Event information

The event, presented by Bass Culture, will be held on Friday, July 5th at 9:00 pm at the Eremo Club in Molfetta. Tickets are available on Dice and Ticketone. This is an unmissable opportunity to see two great talents of the Italian artistic scene collaborate in a live show that promises to be exciting and engaging.

Don’t miss this extraordinary evening where music and art meet on the same stage, giving the audience an unforgettable experience.
