After a seven-year hiatus, beach volleyball returns

The 24-hour beach volleyball event returns to Piazza Tobagi in Limbiate. After seven long years, the 14th edition of the non-stop event will be held on July 5, 6 and 7, which this year will be called “City Beach” and is organized by Limbiate Volley and Polisportiva Solaro.

Charity and fun

“The spirit is the same as always: doing charity and having fun in a young environment full of those values that only sport can showcase” explain the organizing group that includes many new faces alongside the historic creators of the sporting event born about twenty years ago.

Two tournaments and one championship stage

Two tournaments are planned: one “amateur” and one “pro”, whose teams will compete from Friday evening to Saturday evening, continuously also during the night. On Sunday, instead, a stage of the national championship of Serie Beach1 Femminile is scheduled.

Space also for associations

The refreshment area will be open throughout the weekend and various local associations will take part in the event, such as La Tenda Amatese of Cesano Maderno, which will provide part of the mobile structures present in the square, Voglio la Luna, which will be present on Saturday afternoon with the artisanal ice cream van, and Federico per sempre, which has been raising awareness among the younger generations on road safety issues for years.

“The hope is that the weather will be mild and that the citizens will come in large numbers to give meaning to our efforts and above all to give their contribution to a good, excellent, common cause” is the hope of the organizers.
