A fire broke out yesterday evening, June 29, in IV Traversa via Pisciarelli, in Pozzuoli (Naples), on the border with the Agnano area, in the western suburbs of Naples; the fire developed on the ground floor of a building used for the processing and storage of photovoltaic panels and batteries. During the intervention of the Fire Brigade, eight families, residents of apartments in the immediate vicinity of the building affected by the fire, were evacuated as a precaution.

The State Police and the Municipal Police of Pozzuoli intervened on site. The causes of the fire have not yet been ascertained, but at this stage it is likely that it was an accident and that the flames started from the stored materials. After the extinguishing operations, a static check will be carried out on the building, with the support of the technical office of the Municipality of Pozzuoli, to verify any damage caused by the flames and evaluate the possibility of allowing the families who were displaced to return to their homes.
