It starts in September with kite-boarding at the Rambla establishment in Maccarese and then the regatta for the Alberto Incarbona trophy

The Circolo Velico Fiumicino will restart its engines in September, having launched its first commitments related to activities at sea. The 7th and 8th of September are in fact scheduled for national kite-boarding and wing-foil regattas which will take place at the Rambla beach resort in Maccarese.
“This event is attracting, over the years, a large participation of enthusiasts from all over Italy – specifies Massimo Pettirossi, sports director of the Club – On September 28th and 29th the 19th edition of the Alberto Incarbona-City of Fiumicino trophy. The event will take place in front of the sea waters facing the coast of Ostia and will effectively open the winter season of the activity connected to the regattas”.
The Rome Winter Championship will start on October 27th which includes the classic nine days of racing for a total of at least 15 races. This is to allow skippers to discard the worst performances for the purposes of the final score.
“The formula of the previous edition which included challenges on the ‘bastard’ course of the sailing boats registered in the categories Regatta, Cruise, Mini-altura and Vele bianche has gained the sympathy of the owners – concludes Pettirossi – Therefore, the next event will also follow in the footsteps of the 43rd edition. The aim of the Club is to surpass the number of 80 crews that gave life to the previous Championship whose characteristic is to be one of the most important in Italy”.
After the success achieved in the past years in October sailing courses open to 40 students of the “Cristoforo Colombo” middle school will also resume.
