On the sidelines of the “Welcome Back Parma” event which celebrated the return of the Crusader team to Serie A, mister Fabio Pecchia he allowed himself to be asked by journalists for a few questions. It’s time to have clear ideas There is curiosity to face all the teams and all the coaches, we want to compete at a higher level, especially for my young people and for the city, we will play for mathematics, but always as much as possible, maintaining our style. We will be a team with enthusiasm, with a clear idea of play. We will maintain the lightness that has distinguished us in recent months.”
About the lens: “Our objective is clear, also for our people. It will be a completely different championship, we have to keep the category close, for a newly promoted team the leap is always challenging”.
On the market: “Our purchase on the market will be continuity. We have owned players, many young people with potential. We are already starting from a good base. This is our additional weapon. Then obviously in every market, just like last year, there are targeted insertions that complete the squad. The priority at the moment is to plan and work for next season.”
On the comparison he informs with Capello: “It was nice to talk to Capello. For me it’s always a reason for growth. It was an informal chat that lasted a few minutes but he gave me some important indications and tips.”
The comparison with Atalanta and Bologna: “Talking about Atalanta and Bologna seems a bit… almost out of place. Parma is Parma and has its own history. Atalanta have come from a fairly long journey, what they have achieved is there for all to see “Gasperini has done an extraordinary job. Bologna has had a fantastic season this year. Parma is in a different situation, not to be compared with Atalanta and Bologna.”
On foreign properties: “As long as there is stability the fans must be happy. It is important to have a club that can provide continuity.”
