  • BUSTO ARSIZIO: Formula Driver

As part of the BA Estate events, the “2nd Formula Driver AiCS” automotive event will be held on Sunday 9 June in the industrial area, dedicated for the first time to Giancarlo Biasuzzi, mechanic, trainer and driver from Gallarate, protagonist above all over the years Seventies and Eighties of local rallying, winner of the ACI Varese Rally five times.

The initiative is organized by the Junior Jolly Historic association, in collaboration with Racing Off Road and AICS – Italian Sports Culture Association and with the patronage and contribution of the municipal administration.

The competition, which represents the fourth stage of the AiCs championship which in turn includes 9 races, will start from via Stefano Ferrario and will see around fifty cars, historic, new and prototypes, with drivers coming from northern Italy.
The route will wind through via Massari Marzoli, via Marcello Candia and via Baden Powell. The finish line will be in via Stefano Ferrario, where the paddock with car garages will be set up and will be enriched by numerous stands and food trucks.

The day’s program includes car checks at 8 am, the start of the race at 9.30 am, the finals at 2 pm. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 5 pm. The drivers really like the route because it is very wide and green; the area allows you to set up a very attractive paddock also for families with children who will be able to admire the cars and then follow the race in complete safety.

This is the second edition of an event that started last year when Busto was the European city of sport: as the Sports councilor observed, the company honored the title in the best possible way by proposing an important and engaging event than ever it had taken place in the city previously with these characteristics

  • LAVENO MOMBELLO: Electric boat show

The 3rd edition of the Electric Boat Show 2024 will take place from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th June in Laveno Mombello.

It is a fair created with the desire to offer an exclusive stage, dedicated to all professionals in the nautical sector and to all those interested in the electric revolution. Previous editions took place at the Idroscalo in Milan.

The program, still under development, will be full of events and conferences aimed at both sector operators and institutions, associations, public and private bodies and enthusiasts. Test drives of the boats will also be made available by the shipyards.

The Officine dell’Acqua, the ancient 19th century railway warehouses of Laveno, will be the venue for the conferences.

  • ARCISATE: Festival of arts, flavors and culture

The Festival of Arts, Flavors and Culture will be held at the Lagozza party area in Arcisate from 7 to 9 June. The party will include an international extreme takedown competition with over 20 European and Italian athletes. There will be two markets, games for children, exhibitions of animals, tractors, bonsai, Fiat 500 and Vespa.

Every evening there will be concerts and dancing evenings with the Tune88Band, a historic Funk-Soul-R&B group born in Arcisate, Cann Cord & Pell, and the Anomala Brass Band.

The menu will offer themed dishes with local products, including the “Ciumm” salami from Arcisate, with specific options for children. y

  • CASTIGLIONE OLONA: Future archives

On Friday 7 June, on the occasion of the 3rd Edition of ARCHIVIFUTURI, the Museo Arte Plastica, the first museum of arts applied to plastic in Italy, presents “MAP: BETWEEN HISTORICAL AND CONTEMPORARY”. The museum will be open from 3.00 pm to 8.00 pm, with free entry and free guided tour. The collection includes 50 works from the 1970s, exhibited in the frescoed rooms of the fifteenth-century Palazzo dei Castiglioni in Monteruzzo.

The Archivi del Contemporaneo network, made up of museums, foundations, associations, house museums and archives with MA*GA as the leader, proposes for 2024 a program of live shows, exhibitions, workshops and extraordinary openings for a month of entertainment between Upper Milanese, the Lakes and the province of Varese, including Castiglione Olona. The edition aims to consolidate the territorial network and has extended participation to new entities, promoting cultural integration and cooperation.

  • CASTELLANZA: Concert of the “Gospel for joy” choir

It is called VENTI… E PIU’ and it is the concert of the GOSPEL FOR JOY choir organized, with the patronage of the City of Castellanza, for Saturday 8 June at 9.00 pm in the Church of San Bernardo in Castellanza.
The initiative, which is part of the “L’Estate in Città 2024” program of the Department of Culture of the City of Castellanza, will see performances by FABIO GALLAZZI (Director), GABRIELE TOIA (Piano), FABRIZIO FOGAGNOLO (Double bass), ETTORE ZANZOTTERA ( Percussion), Guest Star AHRES DI BENEDETTO. Presents DANILO LAMPERTI.

The Gospel For Joy choir was born in 2001 on the initiative of a group of people coming from different cultural experiences with the common desire to express through singing their belief in the Gospel and the joy of being together, but also with the aim of growing artistically immediately being guided by the expert hands of professionals in the sector.
For preparation and direction, the choir relies on the experience and enthusiasm of maestro Fabio Gallazzi with a professional approach and ambitious objectives: division of the choir into sections, study of reworked traditional gospel songs.

Thanks to the seriousness and tenacity of the group, after a few months the Gospel For Joy choir performed, arousing the enthusiasm of the public.

In the following years the choir grew both in number and in preparation, increasing its repertoire (with new and more complex pieces) and participating in numerous seminars and Gospel Connection.
The choir has performed in several concerts, broadening its experience to include the animation of Eucharistic celebrations, weddings and private parties, always enjoying great success and enthusiastic reviews in the local press.

The group’s repertoire ranges from spirituals to the most modern gospel, offering a complete panorama of the tradition of this musical genre.

“An evening not to be missed – declares the Deputy Mayor Cristina Borroni – and a concert that allows me to experience beautiful personal memories: for about ten years I sang in the Gospel For Joy choir and I know well the commitment and enthusiasm of the singers and the professionalism of the Maestro, Fabio Gallazzi”.
