L’Catholic University of Sacred Heart signed a framework agreement for collaboration with the Orders of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts respectively of Piacenza, Cremona and Lodi. This is a mutual collaboration in all areas of mutual interest and, in particular, in the organization of continuing education and research activities, as well as in the consolidation of support in relation to the orientation programs of students and trainee accountants in the transition phase from university to professional activity.

“Based on the fruitful collaboration of recent years, we decided that it was worth giving a full dimension to the relationship between our University and the Orders of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Piacenza, Cremona and Lodi”, said Anna Maria Fellegaradean of the Faculty of Economics and Law at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. “This is the first time, in fact, that we are thinking in terms of a framework agreement. The new features of the agreement concern not only training but also the tools that can help the profession: from artificial intelligence to the provision of a database that helps the Orders to better understand the territory in which they operate”.

Moreover, Fellegara summarized, “a constructive dialogue between universities and the world of work” is fundamental “to understand the requests of the business fabric and, therefore, to understand how to articulate the training offer”. In the phase of great change that we are experiencing, it becomes crucial to know how to train increasingly qualified professionals. In this sense, the professional Orders can be of help in recognizing the skills that the labor market expects. “The Convention expands its collaborative scope compared to the previously started relationship, becoming in fact four-yearly”, he continued Marco Dallagiovannapresident of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Piacenza. “The framework agreement signed between the three professional Orders and the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore will take on an even deeper scope from a cultural and social point of view, dealing with research and analysis of the territory and thus increasing the possibilities of new initiatives for members, businesses, and students”.

“The real novelty of this Convention, in fact, concerns the involvement of the Orders in the realization of scientific research and studies”, he underlined Paul Star Monfredinipresident of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Cremona. “As part of the Emilia-Romagna Territorial Innovation Ecosystem project (Ecosister) financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Program, in which the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore participates through the Piacenza campus, a survey dedicated to ESG factors and the evolution of regulations on sustainability is already underway. The development of the survey is entrusted to a working group composed of both professors from the Università Cattolica and some professionals indicated by the respective Orders”. “We are convinced that with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore we can delve into cutting-edge topics, and thus obtain quality training”, he concluded Pierluigi Carabellipresident of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Lodi. “For this reason, we believe it is essential to create ever greater mutual proximity between universities and professional fields. We need it to bring young people closer to the work of chartered accountants and accounting experts, which is affected by the lack of vocations. Of course, it is a demanding path in which continuous training is now necessary and indispensable. But it is certainly a profession that can reserve great satisfaction for the future”.
