Defeating loneliness and enhancing the active role of the elderly in society is the challenge of AUSER which returned to full activity after Covid. The assembly of delegates confirmed the president at the helm of the association
REGGIO EMILIA – With 5264 members, 1924 active membersthe volunteers of AUSER they are a heritage of Reggio Emilia, present in practically all the centers of the province, and committed to enhance the role of the elderly in societyto. With an increasingly clear priority in the post-Covid era: preventing people from being overcome by insecurity. The services carried out by volunteers, accompaniments and transport, hotline calls, social tourism and cultural proposals in community centers thus become an antidote against the loneliness and sense of abandonment that affects more and more elderly people.
The provincial assembly of Auser which took place at Malaguzzi Centerin the presence of Mayor Vecchi and Lella Brambilla of the national association, has reconfirmed as president for the next four years Vera Romiti who in his report wanted to thank his three vice presidents, the entire board of directors and all the active members, with the aim of being able to increasingly involve young people who approached Auser in the hardest phase of the Covid emergency.
