Between Fidas Verona, Villafranca section, and Fidas Gela, in Sicily, a “Blood Pact” that has lasted for 31 years.
A bond that resists over time and which for 31 years has been a symbol of solidarity and brotherhood: it is the “Blood Pact” between Fidas Verona and Fidas Gela, in Sicily. It was an exciting and meaningful moment when around forty donors and supporters of Fidas Verona di Villafranca, they crossed the borders of Sicily for a tour of the island. This then culminated with a act of profound generosity and commitment. The goal was clear: strengthen the ties between the two realities engaged in promotion of blood and plasma donation in their respective territories.
The The highlight of the meeting was marked by an extraordinary gesture of two donors from the Fidas Verona section of Villafranca. I am Corrado Marconi and Corrado Melegatti, president and councilor of the Villafranchese section. These two Solidarity heroes donated a bag of blood at the Fidas Gela Collection Center. A point of reference for the local communitymanaged with excellence by local volunteers.
The symbol of bonding.
The Marconi and Melegatti’s gesture was not just an act of individual generositybut also a tangible symbol of bond that unites the two realities. A bond that goes beyond geographical distances, that overcomes the differences and which grows stronger as the years pass. “The ‘Blood Pact’ between Fidas Verona and Fidas Gela is a shining example of what can be achieved when the solidarity and commitment to the common good guide our actions.”
