The statement it was there, it lasted the whole concert, and it came from under the hands of the guitarist who made a name and a legend out of his touch: last night Eric Clapton opened the Lucca Summer Festival with an hour and a half of concert non-stop, playing a Stratocaster colored red, green, black and white, the colors of the Palestinian flag.

For him (and for his only Italian date of the season) more than 20,000 people attended in the stands of the Historic Walls of the Tuscan city. Slowhand had been missing from the festival par excellence of the Lucca summer for 18 years.
