Stefano Ciprian, Gianpietro Cittolin and Lorenzo Trevisan ranked first in ROBOCUP2024

Another success for the students ofKennedy technical institute of Pordenonewho took first place at the national robotics competition ROBOCUP2024. Stefano Ciprian of the IVCIA, Gianpietro Cittolin of VBET e Lorenzo Trevisan of IVDIA, accompanied by the teacher Erica Miloccothey defeated the competition of more than 50 institutes from all over Italy.

The national final was held in recent days in Dalmine, in the Bergamo area, in the Confindustria headquarters and in the Dalmine ETS Foundation.

Thanks to the victory, an Abb Yumi Singol Arm collaborative robot will arrive in Pordenone and the names of the students will be included in the Register of Excellence at the Ministry of Education and Merit.

The 4BIA, 4CIA and 4DIA classes also contributed to the result, competing remotely at the end of April in the first phase of the race. Even in that case Kennedy was ranked among the top nationally.

The three students also received the out-of-competition prize

Ciprian, Cittolin and Trevisan were also awarded the out of competition prize ‘Mario Buffoli’, thanks to a project for the management of a robotic industrial cell, for which they studied every detail and programmed the robots and components following the Lean Methodology. The product designed was perfectly functional and actually realizable.

For the second consecutive year, the Kennedy Institute has won this prestigious recognition, demonstrating how the skills acquired in the various disciplines converge and contribute to the maturation of children in facing increasingly ambitious challenges with autonomy and awareness. The robotic industrial cell is a real ‘reality task’: it is feasible and could be adopted by local businesses.
