The Ferris wheel located on the seafront in Fiumicino is practically ready. The structure is not yet functional and we are waiting for the next few days to complete the final details, in view of its opening to the public.

The Ferris wheel of Fiumicinowhich in recent days has been at the center of the debate between favorable and contrary opinions, has been placed in the dock area but is not yet functional.
In fact, the final finishing touches needed to be able to open the facility are being completed.
Testing is still missing, which will be done in the next few days. Then there will be the inauguration, scheduled for 7.30 pm on Friday 7 June, in the presence of representatives of the Municipality of Fiumicino.
The wheel will remain in the dock until August 31st. In the intentions of the municipal administration it will represent one of the attractions of the summer. The Ferris wheel is 31 meters high, 32 meters wide and has 25 passenger cabins.
The race will last three laps and it will have a total duration of approximately 10 minutes. In recent days the first information with all the details of the structure and the costs to access since it is a paid attraction (for details read here).
The news of the positioning of the Ferris wheel came out last May 27, following the signing of the ordinance announcing the arrival of the structure at the dock (for details read here).
From here the controversies between those in favor and against had broken out. And, above all, the opposition had underlined “the prolonged inactivity of the council commission on culture” which led to the lack of sharing of events (for details read here).
