GROSSETO – 12 honors to the citizens of Grosseto who have distinguished themselves in life and work. As per tradition, on June 2nd, Republic Day, the prefect, Paola Berardinodelivers the parchments to the citizens awarded by the President of the Republic.
After reading the speech by Sergio Matterellathe ceremony moved to the Remembrance park where a wreath was placed at the war memorial.
Then in the square, in front of the Prefecture, the ceremony celebrating the 78th anniversary of the foundation of the Italian Republic continued with the delivery of the Honors of Merit of the Italian Republic – OMRI, awarded by the Head of State to those who distinguished themselves for having acquired merit in their working life, in activities carried out for social and humanitarian purposes or for the commendable services carried out in civil and military careers.
