According to the first information in the case, the incident occurred late in the afternoon yesterday, Friday 31 May 2024. Late, the lifeguard noticed a lifeless body floating about 20 meters away from the rocks. At that point, he apparently alerted 118 but unfortunately the health workers could only have confirmed the death. In fact, it would appear that every attempt at resuscitation was in vain.
Based on the information found, the Pesaro Coast Guard also went to the scene. It appears to have intervened with its own patrol boat and also a ground patrol. This would have been done after the lifeguard reported the recovery. The Pesaro Coast Guard would therefore have started the investigation activity. Everything would be under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. We would be taking action, as early as this night, to proceed with the identification of the body and to understand the causes of death.
Apparently, the victim appears to be a man aged between 60 and 70. At sea, the man appears to have been recovered with only his swimsuit on.
