young people are already shielded

Looking inside the house Milantoday’s edition of Allsports speaks positively of the strategy pursued by the Rossoneri in recent years regarding the youth of the youth team. In a historical period in which many young people leave Italy to move abroad – Inacio Piá to Borussia Dortmund e Guido Della Rovere to Bayern Munich these are just the latest cases -, fortunately the Rossoneri club can sleep soundly.

Milan’s foresight

Milan – we read – has in fact been able to distinguish itself for its ability to go against the grain compared to other teams, putting the young talents of the youth team at the center of its strategy. In this context, the Rossoneri are ready to make official Francesco Camarda’s first professional contract (he has already signed, only the press release is missing, ed.). This move is the latest in a series of contractualizations that Milan started almost a year ago to protect its best emerging young players.

Among the new contracts, the one that stands out is Kevin Zerolicaptain of the Primavera team that was runner-up in Europe, who has signed a contract until 30 June 2028. He is joined by David Bartesaghiunder contract until 2026, and other talents such as Diego Sia ed Emanuel Hall. These youngsters have been carefully selected by Milan’s development programme to continue their journey at the Rossoneri.

Investments in the youth sector are starting to yield concrete results. A significant example is the definitive purchase of Alex Jimenez from Real Madrid for 5 million euros. This shows the seriousness of Milan’s project to focus on young players.

Milan Future: A Crucial Step

The second team project, which will officially start on Monday 8th with the Milanello meeting, represents a fundamental step for the growth of young players. This team will act as a bridge between the Primavera and the first team, allowing young players to be monitored directly at Milanello and gain significant experiences.

The goal is clear: to train in-house players ready for the high level, capable of carrying the weight of the Milan shirt once they are permanently integrated into the first team. Since 2012, with the revolution desired by Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani and entrusted to Filippo Galli and Mauro Bianchessi, the Milan youth sector has produced numerous professionals. However, the closed mentality of some clubs has limited the potential of many of these players. Today, the Milan youth sector is led by Vincent Virginconsidered one of the best managers in youth football.
