Provincial football is grieving at the news of the death at 62 of Gianpaolo Leonardi. Manager, photographer, he was a historic figure for the world of Pordenone sports. In the 90s he held a position at the top of the Centro del Mobile di Brugnera founded by Gian Renzo Benedet. A club, founded in 1980, which managed to obtain promotion to Serie C2.

From here the move to Pordenone with the role of secretary. A function that he carried out with passion until he moved to Cordenons and Chions which currently plays in the Serie D championship.

“With deep sorrow we bid farewell to Gianpaolo Leonardi. – reads a post from Pordenone FC – A great black-green heart: a unique passion and love, which were part of him. Paolo was secretary and at the same time photographer of Pordenone for many years, always a scholar and custodian of the history of the Club, the City and the territory. In provincial football he was a fundamental reference, making his skills available in the secretariats of numerous clubs, most recently Chions. We all embrace his family with affection, in an inextricably black-green embrace”.

He leaves behind his wife Viviana, his children Nicole and Alessandro, his brother Roberto and his mother Maria.
