Monza is the backdrop to “Exultet!“, The liturgical music festival intended for choirsgarlic musical animators of the liturgy and enthusiasts of the musical genre. Saturday 1 Junethroughout the day, i choirs coming from parishes of the diocese met in the city with the possibility to choose between twenty musical, musicological and liturgical ateliersas well as three conferences with listening and debates scheduled in the afternoon.
Exultet! in Monza: workshops and meeting opportunities, concert in the cathedral
The day will end at 5pm with singing rehearsals in the cathedral. The choirs, grouped into a single ensemble, will enliven the vigil mass for the solemnity of Corpus Domini, which will be celebrated in the basilica at 6pm, chaired by Don Giuseppe Comoepiscopal vicar for celebration and education.
An opportunity to meeting and discussion between the directors of the parish choirs and the choristers themselves, who will be able to follow training courses dedicated to various aspects of liturgical music: from the sung reading of the music to the choir of white voicesfrom the Taize prayer (with the possibility of learning about the zither instrument) to the practices for direct the assembly during functions and then the workshops to strengthen one’s voice from breathing to warm-up exercises to vocalizations.
