The Pokémon 2024 competitive season gets underway and stops directly in Italy. In fact, on June 1st and 2nd, trainers of the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games and players of Pokémon GO and the Pokémon Trading Card Game will have the opportunity to win precious Championship Points at pavilion 20 of Bologna Fiere. During this special event, in fact, players from all over the world will compete to win an invitation to the Pokémon World Championships which will be held in Hawaii next August.

This is a truly unmissable event dedicated to true enthusiasts who will be able to spend a weekend in the company of their favorite Sascable Monsters also online. In fact, throughout the weekend, the competition will be streamed on the Cydonia_Chiara Twitch channel from 8:00 to 20:00 on both Saturday and Sunday. Furthermore, for all participants in the event, there will be a Fun Area designed for casual players and the little ones, where in addition to drawings, origami, board games and challenges with the Trading Card Game, everyone will be able to try the Pokémon video games of several generations.

As usual, the competitions will be divided into the following categories: junior (born from 2012 onwards), senior (born from 2008 to 2011 inclusive) and master (born up to and including 2007) and all players in possession of an ID will be able to participate trainer registered with the Pokémon Trainer Club. The tournament will be played according to the official formats of the Play! Pokémon and following Regulation G, with 200 Championship Points up for grabs for the first place, 160 for the second finalist and 130 for the Top 8. The winner of the tournament will also get a direct invitation to the World Championships final in Honolulu, Hawaii. Last year, the Italian Special took place in Turin, with a total of 582 players participating in the Master category, including the Champion Nico Davide Cognetta who faced Simone Sanvito in an all-Italian final!

The Pokémon Special Championship in Bologna will be the last major event of the European competitive season and it will represent an unmissable opportunity both for Italian coaches looking for points and for the many enthusiasts who will have the opportunity to spend an entire weekend in the company of their favorite Pokémon. The appointment will be Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June at Bologna Fiere and online, on the Cydonia_Chiara Twitch channel, from 8:00 to 20:00 on both days.
