Michele Pascarella of Forza Italia returns to the topic of security in the station in Cesena: “Even today the news reports, where there is still need, a situation of degradation and abandonment of the station area with phenomena of drug dealing and theft. The incessant work of The Police and Carabinieri are certainly bearing fruit thanks also to the constant presence of the crime prevention department in the area. For this reason, on behalf of Forza Italia, I express my applause to the Prefect and the Police Commissioner for the strategies to prevent and combat petty crime phenomena. they are putting in place.”
Pascarella writes: “This, however, once again highlights the need for constant monitoring of the station area. In the Forza Italia program we have paid great attention to the rehabilitation of this part of the city which also represents the calling card for those who arrive there for tourism or work. For this reason, in our program, we have foreseen a constant presence of local police personnel, in particular in the evening and night hours at least until 11.00 pm, the time when the last train stopping at the station is expected to arrive” .
The note continues: “We also envisage the provision by the local police force of a canine group with dogs trained to search for drugs in order to discourage the presence of those individuals dedicated to drug dealing as demonstrated by yesterday’s arrest. We strongly believe that the security of this city passes through the collaboration of all police operators including the local police within a device that enhances the concept of participatory security. Today in the city we will have the presence of Senator Maurizio Gasparri, involved in his tour of Romagna to support our electoral campaign for the renewal of the positions of Mayor and City Council and that of the Honorable Rosaria Tassinari candidate for the European Parliament. We will ask Senator Maurizio Gasparri to strengthen the commitment made with the Police Unions in recent days by ‘Honourable Rosaria Tassinari, to provide the Railway Police with a sufficient number of Policemen so as to be able to guard not only the Forlì railway station but also that of Cesena”.
