NewTuscia – BAGNOREGIO – A Maori proverb states: “Turn your face towards the sun and the shadows will fall behind you”.
This is the leitmotif that Ombre Festival has chosen for the 2024 edition. A suggestion that encourages us to focus on the positive to ward off negativity and difficulties from our lives. Looking towards the light can help us overcome life’s challenges, put aside fears and worries. Ombre Festival wants to go in that direction with the aim of creating spaces where people can meet and express themselves freely by illuminating the gray areas. And we will do all this with theater shows, concerts, meetings, dance, debates, exhibitions, dinners under the stars and by broadcasting the 2024 European Football Championship to the streets in a welcoming and lively atmosphere. We are waiting for you in the most beautiful squares of Viterbo and Bagnoregio to continue dreaming through the eyes of a child, to give in to the sense of wonder and open up to the beauty and magic of our cities.

From 26 June to 14 July, Viterbo and Civita di Bagnoregio come alive with a series of meetings in the main squares and in places symbolic of culture and aggregation. Many important guests will talk about their experiences, present their books, and discuss the major themes of politics, current affairs and art in the broadest sense. There will also be space for music, with a large section dedicated to Jazz, and for theatre, with a strong commitment to the territorial redevelopment of some areas at risk.
It begins with the sports champion Bebe Vio, to continue, among the many illustrious guests, with Vinicio Marchioni, Sigfrido Ranucci, Gabriella Genisi the author of Lolita Lobosco, and then Lorenzo Biagiarelli and Giuseppe Cruciani, Monaldi & Sorti with readings from “Dante of Shakespeare”, and for the little ones an afternoon meeting with Geronimo Stilton!
Serena Bortone and Lirio Abbate will still be guests, and in the last week there will be meetings with Minister Matteo Piantedosi, Luigi De Magistris, Walter Veltroni and Nicola Gratteri.
