It’s the day of the press conference to present Antonio Conte at the Royal Palace. Napoli had to respect a series of rules imposed by the etiquette of the place of historical and artistic interest, starting with the number of guests (no more than 400 accredited, coming from all over the world). 3.15pm – Here we are! As just announced by the press officer, the presentation of Antonio Conte will begin in a few minutes.
3.22pm – Antonio Conte’s first words: “It is the first time they have presented me in this way, so there is also a thread of emotion despite several years of career in the world of football. I thank you. I certainly thank Napoli, because usually I give something before receiving. Here it is the opposite happened, so much enthusiasm, so much affection. Now I just have to give back.”
3.25pm - President De Laurentiis speaks: “Thank you all for coming and welcoming us. This is an important occasion, as it is important every time someone resets everything and starts from scratch. Every time there is a new coach we start again with great enthusiasm, trying to erase everything that has been there. In September we will celebrate 20 years of our presence in Naples and therefore we hope… I don’t know if I will live another 20 years, we will try because medicine does incredible things”.
