Authors’ marathon today in the Fortress for the twelfth edition of the Passioni Festival. The event conceived by Marco Meacci is scheduled in Arezzo today and again on July 4th with the patronage of the Guido d’Arezzo Foundation. All events are free to enter. Today the Fortress is filled with authors and there will also be a space dedicated to Vasari. It starts at 3:30 pm when Eraldo Affinati will present his latest book “Le città del mondo”, published by Gramma Feltrinelli in conversation with Andrea Matucci. Eraldo Affinati will accompany all the guests of the Passioni on a journey through time and space among the three hundred cities of the world that he has collected in his book. Cities known, dreamed, invented, all described and evoked in short portraits of great fantastic conciseness and affectionate sentimental adhesion. The event will be moderated by the journalist Nicola Brandini. At 4:15 p.m., reading of the passage “Vasari: genius and regularity. An impossible dialogue” from the book “Genius and regularity in the Renaissance”, published by Helicon Edizioni. The writer and author Cinzia Della Ciana will alternate in the reading with Andrea Matucci, professor of Italian Literature at the University of Siena.

Again, today at 4:30 pm, journalist and writer Filippo Ceccarelli, editorialist for Repubblica, great expert on Italian politics and regular commentator every Friday on Propaganda Live on La7, will present his latest book “B. Una vita troppo”, published by Feltrinelli, which tells the thousand lives of Silvio Berlusconi. The greatest story of power of the last 70 years, told by those who followed that story for years in the newspapers – first Panorama, then La Stampa and finally Repubblica – and who have now collected everything in a single volume. Passioni Festival will then return on July 4 with Giobbe Covatta.
