In essence, a variant appraisal was approved with a simultaneous spending commitment for more work and technical services. Reason? During construction, the need to modify the original procurement contract emerged due to “unforeseen and unforeseeable circumstances for the contracting authority”. Examples? Damage, subsidence, actual thickness of the partitions, state of deterioration of the walls, problems with the loft of the changing room building, foundations of the grandstand, replacement of seats, actual consistency of the athletics track and changes to the external spaces. The director of the works, the architect Andrea Della Sala, then proposed the appraisal: the new contractual figure is now 1 million 321 thousand euros with a variation of 26.7%.

Two more months have been granted and a new deadline extended to April 27, 2025. The request of the works director had instead been for 124 days, more than double. The director of public works Piero Giorgini signs.
