The debate on this issue has been ongoing for months, “rekindled” by the opposition’s recent proposal for a new document that indicates guidelines for intervening on the issue (here)
THERE IS A BIG ROAD SAFETY PROBLEM IN GALLARATE!
On 28 June 2024 the opposition denounced that Gallarate in 2022 had the
highest accident and injury data in municipalities with more than 35,000 people
inhabitants of the province of Varese (Saronno, Busto, Varese, Gallarate), source
STATE.
The mayor pro tempore of Gallarate Cassani on Varese News of 1 July 2024 addresses the opposition saying that: “They have forgotten that we have state roads and motorways”, «The ISTAT data also includes accidents that occurred on highways and
on the highway (a fact that makes municipalities where there are no extra-urban roads incomparable)”….
