Seven unforeseen events during construction, major works for a total of over 80 thousand euros and 90 more days granted to the successful tenderer to complete the seismic adaptation and energy efficiency. The changes concern one of the Pnrr contracts in the school sector in Terni: the plans for the primary school of Campitello, in via del Rivo, are changing.

In summary, a variant assessment was approved for a series of reasons. Critical issues were detected in the section of the pillar reinforcement, electrical systems, sanitary water system, subframe for the external frames, photovoltaic/mechanical system following an opinion from the superintendency, the discovery of a cement/asbestos tank and the external frames. Result? «The variant works make changes to the original project which allow the resolution of problems that emerged after the awarding of the works and/or during construction, guaranteeing the good functioning of the work as well as improvements in maintenance terms».
The increase is respectively 71 thousand euros for additional work and just over 10 thousand euros for engineering/architecture services. Edil Roma is granted three more months to complete the works and not 133 days as requested by the director of the works, architect Marco Silvi. The original amount of the assignment was almost 770 thousand euros and originally the adaptation of the school should have been completed by May 28, 2024.
