The Italian Women’s National 7s team is taking shape in view of the second stage of the Rugby Europe Sevens Championship Series, which will be held in Germany, in Hamburg from 28 June to 1 July. After the disappointing ninth place in the first stage in Croatia, it is time for the Italians to try to put together a convincing performance, after several years of anonymity.
Compared to the previous stage, held in Croatia, in Makarska, The athletes from Villorba and Valsugana return to blue, who had rested after playing the Serie A Elite Women’s final on May 25th. As mentioned, Italy did not go beyond ninth place in the first stage of the tournament, already out of contention for the top phase of the rankings after the first day. For the Italians, a change of pace is needed, and perhaps the additions of Capomaggi, Stevanin and Muzzo will be useful.
