Crepet, Dekru and Caiazzo are still on the bill in April

– LAMEZIA TERME (CZ) – 17 APRIL 2024 – Return to the theater in style for Rocco Papaleo and his acoustic show “Divertissment”, which stopped at the Teatro Grandinetti in Lamezia Terme, marking another public success for the Vacantiandu 2023 festival promoted by I Vacantusi, with the artistic direction of Ercole Palmieri and Nico Morelli.
The play entertained and involved the entire audience in a journey through the thoughts of the Lucanian actor, who signed the screenplay.
As the perfect host, it was Papaleo who welcomed the public, stopping among the crowd to take selfies and sign autographs. On stage, together with him, two talented artists who contributed to making the show even more memorable: Arturo Valiante for the musical accompaniment and the chef-singer Giampiero Da Dalto.
In a triumph of emotions and laughter, Papaleo entertained by telling anecdotes, funny stories, singing songs and alternating reflections, in a direct exchange with those present full of suggestions and ideas.
But not only that, the stage was transformed into a real kitchen and Da Dalto, during the show, tried his hand at preparing a soup which was then served to the public who were invited to share the meal together.
Papaleo laid himself bare by overcoming the distance imposed by the stage, offering his gaze, always with irony, through the devices of prose, poetry and music.
The rhymes alternated continuously with the notes, in an artistic game that did not allow the audience to pause for attention.
Papaleo’s Lucanian accent and spontaneous and ironic manner also contributed to making the performance unique and irresistible.
The spectators, personally involved in the story, applauded the artist for a long time at the end of the performance, reciprocating the warmth received throughout the show.
Rocco Papaleo was undoubtedly among the most appreciated artists of the dense theatrical program proposed this year by the I Vacantusi company, which still includes several important names in the month of April.
Saturday 20th will be the turn of the Italian psychiatrist, sociologist, educator, essayist and commentator, frequent guest on various television programmes, Paolo Crepet, with his “Lessons of dreams”.
The pages of Lessons of Dreams are intended to be ideas, provocations, reminders, and an opportunity to reflect on the future of the young generations, inviting us to a long journey that places at the center the need to rethink parenting, school, the relationship between generations and to the future. The show has already been sold out for several months.
On Sunday 21st the quartet of Ukrainian mimes Dekru will go on stage with “Anime Leggere”, a physical theater performance capable of narrating the present, written and directed by director Liubov Cherepakhina, teacher of the renowned Academy of Variety and Circus Arts in Kiev.
The show is a Mosaico Errante production distributed as a worldwide exclusive by Circo and surroundings. “Anime Leggere” is a journey full of laughter into the comedy of life, between poetry and social satire, an acute reflection on the modern human condition. Spectators will find themselves in the heart of a cheerful circus with actors dressed as mimes, in a succession of short scenes that compose the portrait of contemporary man.
Wednesday 24 April will be the turn of the Giovani Vacantusi Theater Company which will present “Favolescion”, a production of the “I Vacantusi” Theater Association directed by Patrizia Anania who will bring “Tommaso Campanella” high school kids and kids from the Lamezia Scientific High School to the stage Spa.
Finally, on Saturday 27 April Paolo Caiazzo will stop at the Grandinetti Theater with “Separati ma non tanto” for the Vacantiandu 2024 Project, a play in which comedy develops in an attempt to tell a dramatic situation, such as the separation of a couple after many years of marriage.
In fact, the comedy tells of the difficulty of Giulio, a fifty-year-old, who abandons the marital home on the threshold of his silver wedding.
Giulio separates and is forced to ask for hospitality from Nicola, separated for some time, who occupies an apartment owned by his neighbor Carmela, with probable psychological disorders.
In an attempt to treat themselves to a transgressive evening, they accept a blind date with two women they met on Tinder.
They soon discover that they have hooked up with their exes.
The evening takes an unexpectedly pleasant turn.
